So I get this email today from Dotster. Are they serious? Have they been poisoned by the bad old myth of Global Warming? I thought everyone gave up on this mythical thing called Global Warming after the fact finding that revealed the scientists behind the whole green movement collaborated to pull the wool over our eyes? I hope they realize how stupid this whole email sounds and furthermore I hope people look at this bunch of politically correct bullshit and laugh.

When are people going to wake up and realize that this whole Green thing is nothing more than a huge moneymaker and re-election attempt for our politicians?

Do we really need to interrupt TV programming to watch them pluck people out of a mine? Really? Can we get back to normal now since they've all been rescued? Damn.

Think Americans aren't getting any dumber? Let me introduce you to the Fuel Doctor:

src="http://store.fueldoctorusa.com/v/vspfiles/photos/FD-47P-3.jpg" alt="" title="" />

These types of bullshit devices aren't new. Over the years they've transformed from boxes you simply hook to the battery under the hood, some would wire into the ignition coils, others plugged into the AUX power ports, some found their way into the Air Intake system, a few simply mounted magnetically to the car chassis with no physical connections to anything.

Here's another scam device flooding the commercial airwaves on most all major TV networks, all for just $59.99. Marketed as a "Current Regulating Fuel Efficiency Booster" that plugs into your car’s cigarette lighter and uses new fangled Flux Capacitor type circuity that regulates your vehicle’s electrical system thus improving fuel efficiency by as much as 25%. You know, the kind of rocket science stuff that Detroit, NASA, JPL, and the Military couldn’t figure out. Basic principles should tell anyone that if its NOT INLINE between the vehicle's Battery and/or Alternator that there is no way it can regulate anything except the speed of which you part with your money. Step back people and think for a minute - If Detroit could give you 18-25% better fuel mileage for $60.00 then why wouldn't they do it? Hrm?

I can only laugh at the idiots buying them but the ones manufacturing, distributing and marketing them should be prosecuted in the same manner as many of our fine CEO's have been over the past few years.

I ask you...is there any coincidence it's phallic in appearance?

"Essentially, officials want Congress to require all services that enable communications — including encrypted e-mail transmitters like BlackBerry, social networking Web sites like Facebook and software that allows direct “peer to peer” messaging like Skype — to be technically capable of complying if served with a wiretap order. The mandate would include being able to intercept and unscramble encrypted messages."

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/27/us/27wiretap.html?_r=1

Really? But it goes further in that they are pushing for this to be Judically warrantless - no Judge needed to sign. Just what we need - warrantless unscrambling of encrypted networks. A few years later the IRS will decide that they need to monitor all bank transactions over the Interwebs so that people cannot cheat on their reported incomes. They've been trying for years to get their grubby little digits on the interwebs for the revenue they feel entitled to and once this happens an Internet tax is just around the corner. Where does it all end? This will in turn create another government agency costing us billions upon billions every year to manage and oversee. Where do we draw the line?

This idea isn't new, in fact it was discussed heavily in the ISP community after the DOD started rambling about it again back in March of this year. Hell I remember back in 2000 the entire "Carnivore" program - and boy did it cause a shitstorm amongst us ISP's. This was a device that the Feds brought to your facility and placed online to capture data pertaining only to the wiretap order that was issued. As with most Government run programs they had no idea the complexity and hurdles they would have to jump to obtain the information they think they could. For instance, they seem to have forgotten that the entire Internet being TCP/IP based was a packet switched network and NOT a single data stream like a copper phone line going point to point. Therefore when they begin capturing, they are capturing everything, not just their intended target. It would be like getting a wiretap order for John Q. Terrorist and then placing recording equipment at the local Telco CO grabbing all the conversations taking place on every line at that CO. Not to mention they had no clue what to do with the petabytes of information collected in 30 seconds. It would conceivably take them another 6 months to disseminate anything from their captures.

Part of this new "Draft" law includes verbage that forces companies to build "Law enforcement" back doors into everything from instant messaging, VoIP and Peer-to-peer programs ...even Xbox Live, which is mentioned by name! Any Comm services that did not support a back door for law enforcement officials wouldn't be permitted licensing (uh oh, all comm programs require fed licensing?), and devs would be given as little as 6 months make existing software comply. Imagine the costs involved in enforcing this? We'll have a "Software Compliance Czar" and an foot in the door to begin taxing the web.

A real shit storm is brewing amongst us ISP's whom are going to take a stand against this. Keep it up politicians and we'll (ISP's) get rid of switches and just use hubs. You thought capturing a few servers with Carnivore or Echelon was bad? Wait until you taste a few hundred terrabytes/second on a non-switched network. Could you imagine the data overload trying to capture a hub based network in even a reasonably mid-sized NOC? You wouldn't have enough physical room to house all the drives necessary to capture all that data in any sized NOC.

Ahhh yes. Public Sector Unions. Aren't they great? COTA bus driver here gets spit on by a disgruntled passenger. Claims he has been 'mentally' hurt and required 64 days off of work PAID to seek therapy and recover. Sound crazy? The Transit Workers Union has it built into their contract and is permissible. I know that driving a bus is such a highly skilled, labor intensive job, one that requires decades of training and continuing education, the destiny of so many peoples lives are in your hands - requiring nerves of steel not unlike an airline pilot. In fact it's such a specialized field that you require 60 days vacation yearly after your 5 year tenure. $55.00/hour hardly seems like enough for your troubles! People wonder why the transit system here is in the red 15 million dollars every year.

Ahh yes, the new Annual sport of Koran book burning.

Sucks doesn't it? Kinda shitty in fact. Shallow, egotistical self-proclaimed man-of-the-cloth. One small problem... it's legal. Yup. Perfectly legal. I didn't say it was "proper" but it is insensitive to those who hold their beliefs in the Koran. So, quityerbitchin, it's legal, nuff said, end of story.

Enough already left-wing zealots. Your rhetoric is old and laughable at best. When it comes time to debate you simply spill the vitriol, get mad as hell and blurt out hateful, race-baiting comments in an attempt to belittle and make the dissenters feel inferior.

Just because I don't want the Mosque near ground zero makes me a racist.
Just because I don't want illegals pouring over our border makes me a racist.
Just because I don't want US born children of illegal parents instant citizens makes me a racist.
Just because I don't agree with same-sex marriage makes me a racist.
Just because I don't agree with spending billions of dollars on something that won't work makes me a racist.
Just because I don't agree with income redistribution makes me a racist.

How's this hopey-changey thing working out for you? 9.5% unemployment (and growing), trillions upon trillions in debt nearly tripled in the past 24 months, home sales both new and existing at historical lows, GDP growth stagnant and at all time lows, trade deficits at record highs. "Mission accomplished"? Really? When are you going to be smart enough to realize these politicians (left AND right) are our core problem?

You don't want to debate - you simply want to hate. Dissent is met with the race-card, vitriol and an all out attack... your way or the highway. Please wake up and smell the coffee.

Much to my dismay the former Illinois Governor's trial is over - he prevailed - I'm surprisingly happy with the outcome. I'm quite sure that Blagojevich was truly guilty of his actions as argued by the US prosecutor (as most other sane minded Americans also believe). The problem is that he is just as guilty as 90% of the other politicians in their circle. He skated without any Defense whatsoever. The US Govt wouldn't allow him to call dozens of witnesses for his defense since they are high ranking members tightly tied into the current administration. I certainly hope the Govt does not retry him on the 23 other counts that a jury deadlocked on - it's a waste of time, money and the public's patience. He's no different than all the other politicians - he, like Nixon and many others on both sides of the aisle, just got caught.

Hopefully this whole mess will help bring to the public's attention the "train wreck" that is modern day politics right here in the good ole USA.

D-day is approaching. Mexican government officials have setup thousands of Govt. officials on the border to insure that those fleeing out of Arizona can make passage easily and safely back into the motherland without being harassed by the "fascist regime" in Arizona. The US government is ramping up it's security along the border to ensure peace and quiet as D-day approaches. Human rights groups are out in full force observing the happenings. The worldwide media has its eyes peering upon them. Other US States are beginning to adopt similar legislation. Congressional representatives speech writers are busy writing several variations of speeches to be spoken to the mass media that can apply to either way the Judge decides on SB1070. Law enforcement is busy training their troops how to properly enforce the law. Anti-SB1070 groups are busy figuring out how to entrap law enforcement into making mistakes on enforcing this bill. The Spin Doctors are busy flooding the public with misinformation and deception. People are arguing in forums about how bad this new bill is or isn't. Millions are forming their own opinions, even arguing over the Constitutionality. Everyone in the media and political arenas anxiously await the outcome.

My question is where have all these people been over the past 30+ years? Why hasn't anyone raised this much hell over the Federal version of SB1070 that was last visited in congress decades ago? Is it just because it's not been actively enforced? Is it because nobody knew the Federal version existed? Is it because our elected officials fear the Latino voter outcry if this Federal Law were to be enforced?

Regardless of the fate of SB1070 this entire situation is a good thing. It has opened the Country's eyes to the problems with our Immigration system and hopefully paves the way for our Government to fix the problems at hand. Not everyone is going to be happy with whatever is put in place to fix the problem. You can't make 100% of the people happy on either side. Let's see if our elected officials have the balls to fix what's broken instead of putting their tails between their legs.

I only wish this much emphasis, Media coverage and public involvement was present more often in our Society. It might prevent a lot of the crooked politics that have overtaken our Federal, City and State Governments.

Ha, I love stories like this. If you hadn't heard the main story it revolved around unusually high pay rates for the top brass in this little city of less than 40,000 residents in Cali. The City Manager had an annual salary of over $700,000, The asst. manager, $300,000 and the Chief of Police at $450,000. This is a 'charter' city so it didn't fall into the usual and customary scrutiny of other Cities. Recently people found out how much these tools were making on THEIR tax dollars and they revolted thereby forcing them out of office, and of course onto their pensions, which are 75% of what they were making anyhow, so no real savings by removing them. The median income is just over $39,000.00/yr in this little city so the top brass's numbers certainly seem out of line and probably more in line with some 'richer' city such as Beverly Hills.

Sadly, these people whom are now revolting are the same people who voted for these continued pay-raises for their city officials. Yup. All these pay raises were balloted and approved by the residents of the community, nothing was under the table, all above board.

Hey Bell City California people.. guess what? You have to pay attention to what you vote for.. duh?

Ahhh.. Senator Kerry from the great state of Masshole. Tsk Tsk Tsk. You have been preaching for years about buying everything made in the USA. Unfortunately for you, over the past decade there are hours of video of you preaching to the masses about how important it is to keep American workers working. How important it is to make sure you buy American products at all costs. Now it seems you've found yourself in a pickle over your new Boat. Wait.. it's not boat, it's a yacht. Well, whatever you call it it appears that it's not American Made. Nope, plenty of yacht builders right here in the USA but you bought it from a custom builder in New Zealand. 7 mil for a boat? Congratulations.. I'm sure the US economy certainly would have appreciated it.

Now, if I were your adviser I would have suggested purchasing this boat here in the US and making a media spectacle of this situation. Let me lay this out for you....You wanted a new boat, you know that Americans need the work. I would have had a press release about helping American workers by purchasing my 7 million dollar boat right here in the great US of A. People in your state would have been proud of you, the media would have complimented you. Your credibility would have increased dozens of points. But instead you chose to purchase off-shore because it was 'less expensive' and then attempt to skirt the system by docking it in Rhode Island where you wont have to pay the excise taxes? tsk tsk tsk. Silly John... you silly thing you!

Please don't try to dock it in Rhode Island to avoid your $700,000 one-time luxury tax and $70,000 yearly excise tax that YOUR State has enacted. Those poor people in your State need those tax dollars and you shouldn't avoid them! Shame on you. Perhaps now you'll see why everyone else purchases off-shore too - and while you're at it, work on those trade deficits with China for us too.

Do you and Charlie Rangel use the same accountant?

Well well well.. it appears Reuters News likes to edit pictures. We were lead to believe that there were no weapons being wielded by the IHH activists. IHH's own photographs clearly show one of them holding a bloody knife. Reuter's editor(s) felt it best to kind of, you know, crop that out so that you would believe that big bad Israel shot unarmed humanitarian workers. Mmmm hmm.

Makes you wonder what they (and many other news agencies) have edited in the past to get their own agendas fulfilled.

Hmmm

Yet another "controversial" border shooting by our Border Patrol on a Mexican rock thrower. Hey Mexi's, quit harassing our Border agents, don't play games with them by running back and forth across the line in an attempt to taunt them and by all means quit being pussies and tossing rocks and sticks and shit at them. You remind me of the pussy muslims tossing shoes and rocks and sticks and shit... I mean like.. really? You don't like our border policies? See what happens to you if you try to illegally cross into China, Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Germany, Estonia.. Why not try Nicaragua or how about Columbia? Better yet try Libya! Go ahead, try it.

Don't like the policies? Then get involved and help change them. There is no shortcut. At some point in time there will be a way that a human can stop an 80,000 pound semi from a 60mph velocity at will, but until then I don't think it's a good idea to practice standing in front of them on the highway... do you? Meanwhile don't expect us to feel sorry for you.

It is fun to plan a route with google maps then hit the WALK button to see just how long it would take you to walk to your destination. Unfortunately this goofy bitch was so focused on watching the route on her blackberry that she got hit by a car. I'm not sure whether to laugh or applaud ESPECIALLY when her ambulance chasing, bottom feeding attorney makes such ludicrous statements as this:

"We think there's enough fault to go around, but Google had some responsibility to direct people correctly or warn them," Young said. "They created a trap with walking instructions that people rely on. She relied on it and thought she should cross the street."

Oh boy. Perhaps they should instead sue Mother Nature over Natural Selection.

It happened. My mega $$$ XP gaming burner box finally bit the dust a couple of days ago. It had been a the best money could buy back in the day. Sadly in the middle of the day it froze up, never to return again as the motherboard decided it was time to retire after 6 long years of service to me. I'm going to miss the ole rig, it was good to me. I kept her busy.. busy as a cucumber in a women's prison.

I replaced it with a newer I5-750 Intel setup, Windoze 7, 4gb DDR3, 1.5TB Raid-1 array on an Adaptec 1220 card, GT220 video card since I don't game much anymore if at all on the PC - but it runs all the occasional games I still play even better than my old 6800GT, at 1/4 the cost. Seems pretty fast, stable so far,. I was able to easily move over my Firefox and Thunderbird settings amongst dozens of other profiles and settings for various programs - so it hasn't been a huge inconvenience so far. Sucks though.. I'll miss the old PC.

It's no secret I care for this woman about as much as dirt. She is funny however and I often wonder how she has ever been elected and subsequently re-elected to her post. Anyone remember Dan Quayle? Remember his issues with speaking in public and how he never made any sense whatsoever? He has found his match - her name is Nancy Pelosi.

This is a must see video. If you can make sense of what she's saying you're doing better than 99% of those who've watched. May 6th she visited the Catholic Community Conference, which I've covered in another rant on here, now there is even more video of her blabbering and completely incomprehensible blathering:

“And that Word," Pelosi said, "is, we have to give voice to what that means in terms of public policy that would be in keeping with the values of the Word. The Word. Isn’t it a beautiful word when you think of it? It just covers everything. The Word.

“Fill it in with anything you want. But, of course, we know it means: ‘The Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us.’ And that’s the great mystery of our faith. He will come again. He will come again. So, we have to make sure we’re prepared to answer in this life, or otherwise, as to how we have measured up.”

Video here: The Word!

Do WHAT? Huh? Laugh it up about Sarah Palin all you want. Even on Sarah's WORST days she pales in comparison to this goofy demagogue.

Her Doctor needs to use shorter Botox needles - they are penetrating her brain.

As much as I disagree with Obama and his administration on anything - this oil spill is no more their fault than any of the other previous 8 administrations - circumstances arose, the moons aligned and it happened under their watch. As technology moves forward and new ground is broken these things are going to happen just as they've happened in decades past. Anyone remember Union Carbide and the Bhopal disaster back in the early 80's? The chemical leak killed something like 4000 people and injured over 50,000 people. How about Chernobyl in the mid 80s? That killed thousands over the following decades and ruined that entire area for the next 1000 years. How about the Love Canal up near Niagara Falls?

Let's face it, Mother Nature has doled out natural disasters upon epic proportions MUCH larger than any man-made disaster like what is happening right now in the Gulf all by herself since the beginning of time. Regional floods, millions upon millions of acres on fire from lightning, famines, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions. Yes, 10's of thousands of lives have been lost over time, millions of animals and small wildlife have been lost too - the list goes on and on.

These types of things are going to happen as we progress. They will eventually get the leak stopped and the recovery will begin. Mother Nature is a big girl and the Gulf region will recover. It might take a decade or two, but it will happen. Afterall, no matter how bad this leak/disaster seems, the environment has and will continue to produce events far worse than this on an order of magnitude, history has proven it time and time again and the future will be no different - just give her time. Meanwhile the man-made disasters will continue to happen as we progress.

There are a dozen or so companies in the same boat as BP drilling deeeeep in the same manner. This is an unprecedented event that not even the best scientists could anticipate.
