D-day is approaching. Mexican government officials have setup thousands of Govt. officials on the border to insure that those fleeing out of Arizona can make passage easily and safely back into the motherland without being harassed by the "fascist regime" in Arizona. The US government is ramping up it's security along the border to ensure peace and quiet as D-day approaches. Human rights groups are out in full force observing the happenings. The worldwide media has its eyes peering upon them. Other US States are beginning to adopt similar legislation. Congressional representatives speech writers are busy writing several variations of speeches to be spoken to the mass media that can apply to either way the Judge decides on SB1070. Law enforcement is busy training their troops how to properly enforce the law. Anti-SB1070 groups are busy figuring out how to entrap law enforcement into making mistakes on enforcing this bill. The Spin Doctors are busy flooding the public with misinformation and deception. People are arguing in forums about how bad this new bill is or isn't. Millions are forming their own opinions, even arguing over the Constitutionality. Everyone in the media and political arenas anxiously await the outcome.
My question is where have all these people been over the past 30+ years? Why hasn't anyone raised this much hell over the Federal version of SB1070 that was last visited in congress decades ago? Is it just because it's not been actively enforced? Is it because nobody knew the Federal version existed? Is it because our elected officials fear the Latino voter outcry if this Federal Law were to be enforced?
Regardless of the fate of SB1070 this entire situation is a good thing. It has opened the Country's eyes to the problems with our Immigration system and hopefully paves the way for our Government to fix the problems at hand. Not everyone is going to be happy with whatever is put in place to fix the problem. You can't make 100% of the people happy on either side. Let's see if our elected officials have the balls to fix what's broken instead of putting their tails between their legs.
I only wish this much emphasis, Media coverage and public involvement was present more often in our Society. It might prevent a lot of the crooked politics that have overtaken our Federal, City and State Governments.
Ha, I love stories like this. If you hadn't heard the main story it revolved around unusually high pay rates for the top brass in this little city of less than 40,000 residents in Cali. The City Manager had an annual salary of over $700,000, The asst. manager, $300,000 and the Chief of Police at $450,000. This is a 'charter' city so it didn't fall into the usual and customary scrutiny of other Cities. Recently people found out how much these tools were making on THEIR tax dollars and they revolted thereby forcing them out of office, and of course onto their pensions, which are 75% of what they were making anyhow, so no real savings by removing them. The median income is just over $39,000.00/yr in this little city so the top brass's numbers certainly seem out of line and probably more in line with some 'richer' city such as Beverly Hills.
Sadly, these people whom are now revolting are the same people who voted for these continued pay-raises for their city officials. Yup. All these pay raises were balloted and approved by the residents of the community, nothing was under the table, all above board.
Hey Bell City California people.. guess what? You have to pay attention to what you vote for.. duh?
Ahhh.. Senator Kerry from the great state of Masshole. Tsk Tsk Tsk. You have been preaching for years about buying everything made in the USA. Unfortunately for you, over the past decade there are hours of video of you preaching to the masses about how important it is to keep American workers working. How important it is to make sure you buy American products at all costs. Now it seems you've found yourself in a pickle over your new Boat. Wait.. it's not boat, it's a yacht. Well, whatever you call it it appears that it's not American Made. Nope, plenty of yacht builders right here in the USA but you bought it from a custom builder in New Zealand. 7 mil for a boat? Congratulations.. I'm sure the US economy certainly would have appreciated it.
Now, if I were your adviser I would have suggested purchasing this boat here in the US and making a media spectacle of this situation. Let me lay this out for you....You wanted a new boat, you know that Americans need the work. I would have had a press release about helping American workers by purchasing my 7 million dollar boat right here in the great US of A. People in your state would have been proud of you, the media would have complimented you. Your credibility would have increased dozens of points. But instead you chose to purchase off-shore because it was 'less expensive' and then attempt to skirt the system by docking it in Rhode Island where you wont have to pay the excise taxes? tsk tsk tsk. Silly John... you silly thing you!
Please don't try to dock it in Rhode Island to avoid your $700,000 one-time luxury tax and $70,000 yearly excise tax that YOUR State has enacted. Those poor people in your State need those tax dollars and you shouldn't avoid them! Shame on you. Perhaps now you'll see why everyone else purchases off-shore too - and while you're at it, work on those trade deficits with China for us too.
Do you and Charlie Rangel use the same accountant?
Well well well.. it appears Reuters News likes to edit pictures. We were lead to believe that there were no weapons being wielded by the IHH activists. IHH's own photographs clearly show one of them holding a bloody knife. Reuter's editor(s) felt it best to kind of, you know, crop that out so that you would believe that big bad Israel shot unarmed humanitarian workers. Mmmm hmm.
Makes you wonder what they (and many other news agencies) have edited in the past to get their own agendas fulfilled.
Yet another "controversial" border shooting by our Border Patrol on a Mexican rock thrower. Hey Mexi's, quit harassing our Border agents, don't play games with them by running back and forth across the line in an attempt to taunt them and by all means quit being pussies and tossing rocks and sticks and shit at them. You remind me of the pussy muslims tossing shoes and rocks and sticks and shit... I mean like.. really? You don't like our border policies? See what happens to you if you try to illegally cross into China, Russia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Germany, Estonia.. Why not try Nicaragua or how about Columbia? Better yet try Libya! Go ahead, try it.
Don't like the policies? Then get involved and help change them. There is no shortcut. At some point in time there will be a way that a human can stop an 80,000 pound semi from a 60mph velocity at will, but until then I don't think it's a good idea to practice standing in front of them on the highway... do you? Meanwhile don't expect us to feel sorry for you.
Fuggin tards.
It is fun to plan a route with google maps then hit the WALK button to see just how long it would take you to walk to your destination. Unfortunately this goofy bitch was so focused on watching the route on her blackberry that she got hit by a car. I'm not sure whether to laugh or applaud ESPECIALLY when her ambulance chasing, bottom feeding attorney makes such ludicrous statements as this:
"We think there's enough fault to go around, but Google had some responsibility to direct people correctly or warn them," Young said. "They created a trap with walking instructions that people rely on. She relied on it and thought she should cross the street."
Oh boy. Perhaps they should instead sue Mother Nature over Natural Selection.

It happened. My mega $$$ XP gaming burner box finally bit the dust a couple of days ago. It had been a the best money could buy back in the day. Sadly in the middle of the day it froze up, never to return again as the motherboard decided it was time to retire after 6 long years of service to me. I'm going to miss the ole rig, it was good to me. I kept her busy.. busy as a cucumber in a women's prison.
I replaced it with a newer I5-750 Intel setup, Windoze 7, 4gb DDR3, 1.5TB Raid-1 array on an Adaptec 1220 card, GT220 video card since I don't game much anymore if at all on the PC - but it runs all the occasional games I still play even better than my old 6800GT, at 1/4 the cost. Seems pretty fast, stable so far,. I was able to easily move over my Firefox and Thunderbird settings amongst dozens of other profiles and settings for various programs - so it hasn't been a huge inconvenience so far. Sucks though.. I'll miss the old PC.
It's no secret I care for this woman about as much as dirt. She is funny however and I often wonder how she has ever been elected and subsequently re-elected to her post. Anyone remember Dan Quayle? Remember his issues with speaking in public and how he never made any sense whatsoever? He has found his match - her name is Nancy Pelosi.
This is a must see video. If you can make sense of what she's saying you're doing better than 99% of those who've watched. May 6th she visited the Catholic Community Conference, which I've covered in another rant on here, now there is even more video of her blabbering and completely incomprehensible blathering:
“And that Word," Pelosi said, "is, we have to give voice to what that means in terms of public policy that would be in keeping with the values of the Word. The Word. Isn’t it a beautiful word when you think of it? It just covers everything. The Word.
“Fill it in with anything you want. But, of course, we know it means: ‘The Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us.’ And that’s the great mystery of our faith. He will come again. He will come again. So, we have to make sure we’re prepared to answer in this life, or otherwise, as to how we have measured up.”
Video here: The Word!
Do WHAT? Huh? Laugh it up about Sarah Palin all you want. Even on Sarah's WORST days she pales in comparison to this goofy demagogue.
Her Doctor needs to use shorter Botox needles - they are penetrating her brain.
As much as I disagree with Obama and his administration on anything - this oil spill is no more their fault than any of the other previous 8 administrations - circumstances arose, the moons aligned and it happened under their watch. As technology moves forward and new ground is broken these things are going to happen just as they've happened in decades past. Anyone remember Union Carbide and the Bhopal disaster back in the early 80's? The chemical leak killed something like 4000 people and injured over 50,000 people. How about Chernobyl in the mid 80s? That killed thousands over the following decades and ruined that entire area for the next 1000 years. How about the Love Canal up near Niagara Falls?
Let's face it, Mother Nature has doled out natural disasters upon epic proportions MUCH larger than any man-made disaster like what is happening right now in the Gulf all by herself since the beginning of time. Regional floods, millions upon millions of acres on fire from lightning, famines, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions. Yes, 10's of thousands of lives have been lost over time, millions of animals and small wildlife have been lost too - the list goes on and on.
These types of things are going to happen as we progress. They will eventually get the leak stopped and the recovery will begin. Mother Nature is a big girl and the Gulf region will recover. It might take a decade or two, but it will happen. Afterall, no matter how bad this leak/disaster seems, the environment has and will continue to produce events far worse than this on an order of magnitude, history has proven it time and time again and the future will be no different - just give her time. Meanwhile the man-made disasters will continue to happen as we progress.
There are a dozen or so companies in the same boat as BP drilling deeeeep in the same manner. This is an unprecedented event that not even the best scientists could anticipate.

Pac-Man, or Puck Man as the game was originally called, was released by Namco Bandai in Japan on May 22, 1980. Over the last 30 years, the game became an international smash hit. It's one of the best-selling Japanese video games of all time.
HARTFORD, Conn. -- Connecticut Republicans have endorsed former World Wrestling Entertainment executive Linda McMahon for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Democrat Chris Dodd. McMahon beat out former Congressman Rob Simmons and Fairfield County money manager Peter Schiff for the Republican nomination on Friday night.
Great, just what our Legislative branch needs - someone who's made a career out of selling gimmicks, tricks, theatrics, and smoke and mirrors best. Pffft. Hey Connecticut, look at Minnesota.. How's that workin' out for them?
Well well well... yet another case of not wanting to follow the rules is in the news again. This Sarah has decided that she wanted to tell her ROTC commander that she is gay.. BUT only after getting the benefit of $80,000.00 of our Tax dollars for her college tuition.
Huffington Post 5/15/10
University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill student Sara Isaacson said coming out as a lesbian was a matter of integrity. But because Isaacson is an ROTC member, her choice to publicly declare her sexuality might cost her $80,000 -- the cost of her tuition so far at UNC, which has been paid for thus far by an ROTC scholarship.
Isaacson, 21, said she thought the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy was unfair years before she realized she was a lesbian and realized she had the option of hiding her sexual orientation. But she said misleading others would go against the Army's values.
Lt. Col. Monte Yoder, the head of North Carolina's ROTC program, said the Army is losing a "great young American" because of Isaacson's decision to hand him a letter formally declaring her sexuality. He said he gave Isaacson a chance to withdraw her letter - a step he could take because Isaacson isn't technically in the military, Yoder said.
Isaacson gave Campus Progress an update on her situation earlier this month:
My paperwork is still in the process of being completely finalized, however the recommendation from my battalion is that I repay the Army the $79,265.14 that I received in scholarship money over my seven semesters as an out-of-state student at UNC. I don't know yet what the terms of that repayment will be.
I really don't know how I'm going to make it happen. I don't have $80,000 in my back pocket to just give to the Army. I had initially received financial aid from UNC when I came here but when the Army ROTC was able to go through because I did finally get medically qualified, I lost all of that financial aid that I'd had originally.
She's this stupid and in med school? YIKES.... it's almost scary. You had a free ride you dumbass. All you had to do was STFU.. but no, you couldn't. Your Commander even GAVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO WITHDRAW YOUR LETTER, yet you refused. It's funny how you suddenly decide you're gay after graduation. I hope they do make you pay the money back simply because you're stupid.
Um... really?

GENEVA – Arizona’s new law on illegal immigration could violate international standards that are binding in the United States, six U.N. human rights experts said Tuesday.
The basic human rights regulations, signed by the U.S. and many other nations, regard issues such as discrimination and the terms under which a person can be detained, the experts said.
"A disturbing pattern of legislative activity hostile to ethnic minorities and immigrants has been established with the adoption of an immigration law that may allow for police action targeting individuals on the basis of their perceived ethnic origin," the experts said…
In their statement, the six U.N. experts said: "States are required to respect and ensure the human rights of all persons subject to their jurisdiction, without discrimination."
"Relevant international standards require that detention be used only as an exceptional measure, justified, narrowly tailored and proportional in each individual case, and that it be subject to judicial review," the experts said.
The six U.N. human rights experts, who are unpaid, are
– Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants Jorge Bustamante of Mexico;
– Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance Githu Muigai of Kenya;
– Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of indigenous people James Anaya of the United States;
– Independent Expert in the field of cultural rights Farida Shaheed of Pakistan;
– Special Rapporteur on the right to education Vernor Munos Villalobos of Costa Rica; and
– Independent Expert on minority issues Gay McDougall of the United States.
Mr. Posner, our assistant Secretary of State discusses anti-human rights violations at a conference last week with China leaders over this whole Arizona law. Really? The Chinese? Try crossing into China illegally and see what happens to you. Now the UN human rights department is speaking out about the Arizona law. Talk about the proverbial kettle calling the pot black... Please.. really?
This is truly absurd. China has perhaps the most abysmal record on human rights, fundamental freedoms and religious sect. Now the USA is going to sit back and take a tongue lashing on immigration policy by the likes of Mexico, Kenya, Pakistan, and even Costa Rica? Heh. Hey UN.... what about Darfur? Where is your outcry? Where were you when Saddam was gassing 10's of thousands? How are those sanctions working with North Korean and Iran for ya?
Idiots.
A few days ago I posted about an issue with my dish. A couple of phone calls later and DirecTV sends a tech out the very next day.. ON TIME even. In fact, their automated phone attendant called me 30 minutes ahead and even asked if it was still ok to come over now. It even called after he left to see how he did.. lol.
Wow... all I can say is wow. The dude took a quick look around and didn't like any of the original installation. In a matter of 45 minutes he completely re-ran wiring, set a new pole in concrete for the dish, replaced the dish and LNB and was on his way. All at no charge. Evidently the original installer was a sub-contractor for DirecTV.. not a company technician. The dish was wrong, wiring was wrong, placement/location was wrong. I tend to agree, I have solid signals on all 3 satellites no lower than 96 on a very cloudy day.
This guy claims that if you want shit done right you ask for a company employee specifically when you call into their service department. I was not so impressed with their ditzy phone tech support people who are obviously reading from manuals or help books, but I'm extremely happy with their field service so far. No way I'm ever going back to cable again.. ever. The thought of dealing with the cable companies makes my blood boil, eyes spin and seriously considering harming someone.
Ok so I had to move the Dish, trees finally grew up in the way. After moving and re-aiming the dish I find a dilemma. My dish says its a Slimline-3 (3 LNB).. yup, right on the label. The receiver says no, you've connected a Slimline-5 (5 LNB). DirecTV technical forums say the Slimline-3 has only one LNB housing, but contains 3 LNB's within the single housing, while the Slimline-5 has 3 housings, whereby one housing has 3 LNB's in it and two separate housings, each with 1 LNB in it. Im missing one satellite, the 119 - thus no program guide. So I call them. Hey whats up there DirecTV folks.. how do I fix this.. the receiver says Slimline-3 or Slimline-5 - nothing about how many LNB's it has. If I set the receiver to Slimline-5 I suddenly see a signal meter for the 119 satellite! yay! But no matter how much I adjust it I cant get it... yet I have signals in the high 90's and even some 100's on satellites 99, 101, and 103cb. DirecTV says well the Slimline-3 is actually a single LNB housing dish and that there is no way mine should say slimline-3 with 3 separate housings, which is actually a slimline-5. I say um.. no, the label clearly says slimline-3, yet I have 3 separate LNB enclosures. DirecTV says that's impossible. I said no, the initial installer probably didn't have the proper LNB housing for this dish when he installed it and instead used a Slimline-5 LNB enclosure on a Slimline-3 dish - doh?. DirecTV says that's impossible, the single LNB dish is the wrong concave shape to use a slimline-5 LNB housing - which is why I can't see the 119 satellite.. I ask if they want a picture. They decide to send a tech to look at it to confirm my claim, at no charge of course. Who's on first? What's on second? Tap.. tap..tap..Hellllo.. is this thing on?! My hat is off to DirecTV for taking such a basic simple concept of longitude and latitude and managing to make it so damn difficult to perform the most basic, simplest of things - aiming a satellite dish. I'm so glad they don't have any government contracts for high-reliability military communications.
I'm quickly losing faith in American companies that deal in technology.
Well well well.. the wicked witch of the West appears to be at her antics yet once again. Over the weekend Pelosi decides to go to the National Catholic Community Conference and meet with a group of prominent Bishops, Priests and Sisters. (I'm surprised she didn't catch fire upon entering, but that is another story). Anyhow there is like 10 minutes of videotape showing her asking the Catholic Clerics for help in spreading the word to their worshipers that immigration reform must pass...
“I want you to instruct your, whatever the communication is — the people, some of them, oppose immigration reform are sitting in those pews, and you have to tell them that this is a ‘manifestation of our living the gospels,’” Pelosi said.
Really?
Aren't you the same Nancy Pelosi who fought diligently against the Bush Faith Initiatives?
Aren't you the same Nancy Pelosi who said in 2005 that..
"...the separation of Church and State is of paramount importance..."
Enough of your hypocrisy. You can't have your cake and eat it too. The Catholic church despises you anyhow for your views on Abortion. Like it or not, Catholicism is yet another religion. If you do not like their beliefs, then do not be a Catholic. It's America, you can choose what you want or choose no Faith at all. You cannot play both sides of the fence here, you either are or aren't a practicing Catholic. You should be ashamed for criticizing the Catholic Church for their beliefs on abortion then running back to them to help push your immigration agenda which over 65% of Americans do NOT want. You're a heretic, a shrew and a piece of shit.
1. You're an embarrassment to your Faith, your Constituency, the Constitution, the Government and to the human race.
2. If you actually do go to Church I hope you are denied accepting communion.
3. I'm so glad you will be pushing a broom after this fall's elections.
Well it looks like local challenges to the new Arizona Immigration law are being dropped for the time being. Why you may ask?
Garrido, the chief organizer of the second referendum drive, said its backers abandoned it after getting legal advice that Arizona's constitutional protections for voter-approved ballot measures would have applied to the law if approved by voters. Secretary of State's spokesman Matt Benson said Monday that the constitutional limitations on possible legislative action would have applied to the law if voters approved it.
The constitutional provisions bar the Legislature from repealing a voter-approved law and only allow legislative changes that further the intent of the original law. Also, any changes must be approved by three-quarters votes of both the House and Senate.
Haha.. of course. The Illegal supporters do not want this going to ballot for this November. Dozens of random polls have shown an overwhelming majority of residents support this new law. I've seen the averages as high as 80%! Good luck changing this one boys. Federal Judges cannot even step on this easily if it's voter approved. Besides, Arizona already has a good defense ready to go. If the Feds pressure the State on this then Arizona will ask that the Feds either enforce their own immigration laws or change the Fed law, or they'll be forced to protect their sovereignty. By that time the conservatives will have control back of the house, senate and presidents office.
