What A Fucking Surprise: Birth Control Works
Someone needs to sit the anti-abortion, anti-birth control crowd down and explain to them that you can't have one without the other...
NEW YORK (AP) -- Teen births fell again in the United States in 2010 with the highest rate once more in Mississippi, according to a new government report.[..]
The rate for teenage moms reached its lowest point since record-keeping began in 1940. The rate fell 9 percent to about 34 per 1,000 girls ages 15 through 19. The decline was seen among all racial and ethnic groups.
The CDC report released Tuesday focused on state figures. The authors say the teen declines have been attributed to pregnancy prevention efforts. They note that a recent government survey showed more use of contraception by teens.
Ok, one more time for the slower members of our audience: BIRTH CONTROL PREVENTS ABORTION. That's right. If you don't get pregnant then you don't need to abort. It doesn't get any simpler. It's really not a hard fact to grasp.
That's right kiddies, using a condom correctly never means you have to say "oh shit the pregnancy test came out positive..."

I think it's become obvious that a majority of those that scream the loudest about protecting the "un-born" are really more concerned about making sure that "little girls" don't become "whores". They forget that for every "whore" there is a "whore-monger" who made her that way. That behind every unplanned pregnancy is a woman that is faced with difficult prospects and a man (and in some cases that term is used loosely) who helped make her that way and may or may not care. They don't really care about preventing pregnancy they just want to control our morality and maintain chastity, as if it were any of their business.
