Time to bow out

Hey Fiscal Conservatives. It is time to let go. Newt's not gonna make it, Romney is a flipped/flopped Democrat in disguise, Santorum is too busy whining about things and Ron Paul is seeing UFO's again. Not exactly what I'd call a stellar lineup for us Fiscal Conservatives to choose from.

At this point we're almost 16 trillion in debt, 7 trillion of it has been added since Obama took office in 2008. I know, they spin the numbers on which President has spent the most with their little colorful bar graphs and charts but that is based upon projected budgets, not actual dollars spent. Liberals refuse to see the numbers staring them in the eyes - we can help with ignorance, but we cannot help stupidity, sorry, it's genetic.

I recommend that the RNC recall both Romney and Gingrich. Step aside. Let the Liberals have the office again for another 4 yrs. Let them have Congress too. Let them have full run of the place. Let them continue what they've started. Don't waste your breath trying to explain our debt and it's importance, nobody cares as long as they're getting their piece of the pie.

People are putting way too much focus on Social issues and ignoring the real issues while letting the Liberal and Social conservative nutjobs further divide us on topics that mean nothing to our Nation's economy or livelihood. I hardly think abortion or gay rights issues affect our bottom line - yet sadly, there are voters pulling levers specifically on those issues.

People, unfortunately, do not understand anything until it hits them in the wallet. Things need to catch fire and burn before the masses wake up to see what's going on. Let's not prolong the inevitable - let this place crash. Step aside please.

I can agree with you on one thing - The GOP has let religious wackos hijack the "conservative" agenda. For the past couple decades, many are left with two unsavory choices when they hit the polling booth. I am sick of pulling the lever for the one that makes me hold my nose the least.

Can't really disagree with ya bman. There isn't a good fiscal conservative in the bunch. Don't think there ever was a serious candidate along those lines. The far right took over and they don't care about anything other then preventing the left from doing anything, and pushing their conservative social ideology on people that don't want it.

As Odessa said, I've held my nose and pulled the lever for democrats for the last 10 years or so. But mostly because I find the social conservative message more repulsive then the left fiscal message.
