Go Ahead Be Angry

(headline) Gay Voters Angry at Democrats Could Sway Election - AP

So you're angry, and you're going to vote for the "other guy" and send a message to your long standing sponsors. "You're not doing enough." "I scratched your back now where's mine?" "Too little, too late." "You haven't lived up to expectations." Blah, blah, blah.

Let's think about this briefly, voting for a non-supporting party (aka the Repubs) gets you what? A vote against gay marriage? Sure, sounds like a winner right there. What about for the Green Party? They sure carry a lot of clout. Really, why bother voting at all?

Across the country, activists say gay voters are angry — at the lack of progress on issues from eliminating employment discrimination to uncertainty over serving in the military to the economy — and some are choosing to sit out this election or look for other candidates.

Know what folks? Change comes slowly. You need to have patience and keep supporting those you have committed to your cause. You can't always be the priority, especially when so many are without food and shelter.

Give it a break, you're on the list and they'll get to you when they can. But if you want to take yourself off that list? Well great, that makes for a shorter line for everyone else.
