Black Friday Shoppers With Black Hearts

The pursuit of the bargain. The wanton pursuit of consumerism. That is what Black Friday has become. The shoppers are seemingly soullessly driven and not even a dying man will get in their way. In West Virginia a man collapsed while shopping and people walked around him, some even stepping over him. Some people did eventually stop, but they seemed to primarily be those trained to help, like nurses and an EMT.

Those folks who stepped over him should be ashamed of themselves. They are heartless, soulless. Even if someone is not trained in CPR or first aid, they have a mouth. They can yell for help. They can call 911. Perhaps the man, who later died of heart problems, may have died anyway, but we will never know if those few minutes made a difference. At the very least they can try to be of comfort to a fellow human being.

It does make me wonder, being that this happened in West Virginia, a notoriously conservative area how many of those people: pride themselves on never missing church and claim to be good Christians; are adamantly against abortion because it "kills a human"; are against euthanasia. I would venture a guess that a few of them just might be that type of hypocrite.
