Woman comes into court with a scarf on her head. Judge says: "please remove" so she does, with no complaint. Later she files in court complaining she was being repressed. Yah? No. Let the facts speak for themselves. Bet if she'd known she was being videotaped her lawsuit might never have happened.

DETROIT (AP) -- A federal judge [Marianne Battani] has dismissed a lawsuit against a Wayne County judge who was accused of violating a woman's right to practice her religion when he told her to remove her Muslim headscarf.[...]

She says Raneen Albaghdady never protested and quickly complied when told to remove her scarf in Wayne County Circuit Court last summer.

In her decision Thursday, Battani said Judge William Callahan would have allowed the woman to wear the scarf if he had known it had religious significance. Callahan doesn't allow hats.

There you go. No hats, no scarves - with exceptions for religious circumstances (Hasidic Jews and their Porkpie hats can breathe easier now.) Sorry Raneen, you're probably missing your fifteen minutes of fame, but aww, too bad, you're not going to get it.

Too little, too lame, too late.

Still bothered by the whole thing? Well I know a couple of fine countries that won't even let a woman walk in public unless you're covered from head to toe. Course you won't be allowed in court either, but hey, small price to pay for your faith right?
