Am I the only person who doesn't see the problem with this?
Books by day, beers by night — at least that is what school district officials in Philadelphia say was offered at a charter school there, where they say the school’s cafeteria was used weekends as a nightclub.
Fernando Gallard, a spokesman for the school district, said his office was investigating whether the school, the Harambee Institute of Science and Technology Charter School itself rented the cafeteria to the bar, known as Club Damani, or if the landlord did so. In the meantime, Mr. Gallard said, the city has asked the bar to cease operating or the school to move.(NYT)
I just don't understand the fervor. The kids were never around when the cafeteria was being used as a dance club so why all the angst? What, maybe the kids would "pick of vibes" of people who were drinking um, twelve hours previous? Or perhaps the booze spilled on the floor wouldn't be cleaned up and the kids might get exposed? Honestly, someone needs to ask Senator Jeffrey E. Piccola, "a Republican who heads the Education Committee and who has called for the school to close immediately" precisely what he thinks the problem is. I mean if the kids aren't anywhere near the building when it's being used as a nightclub then who the fuck cares?
Jeff, you retard, maybe you need to ponder this question a little: "Who's the victim?"
