This little gem was posted on the back of a car I saw today and it irked me.

The term is "pro-choice", not "pro-abortion" - get it right. Pro-choice people are not hog tying pregnant women and dragging them to clinics to get abortions. Pro-choice means just that, I do my thing, you do your thing. I have never told any Catholic or any other religious zealot that they were wrong to choose for themselves to carry a baby, wanted or not, disabled or not, to birth. Keep you religious based beliefs out of the law books, and tell your Pope to butt out, too. Thank you.

Please also consider the reaction if we saw the following bumper sticker "If you are a Jehovah's Witness, you can't be pro-organ transplantation even if your life depends on it" or this gem "Get a blood transfusion and go to hell". Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in getting blood transfusion or organ donations - How would Catholics like a law prohibiting both?

Or, how about, "If you are a {insert any number of religions} you will respect and obey you husband"? Can't see that a big seller, either.

We can not be a free country and let the religious beliefs of some dictate the choice for the rest. If you like your religion, great, glad you are at peace with that, but your beliefs are not necessarily mine or a great number of other peoples. I am at peace with my belief in a higher power and the desire of that higher power to let all make their own decisions. I may not choose abortion for myself, and thank god I have never had to make that kind of decision; however, I respect my fellow woman to enough to give her the right to decide for herself what is right for her. Please do the same and mind to your own affairs.

I've made it a personal policy to get up next to people with the judgmental bumper stickers and flip them off. If they don't mind offending me I sure the hell don't mind offending them.

Just as a point of clarification, Jehovah's Witnesses have no objection to organ transplants ...except for blood, which is a liquid organ ... because God has placed restrictions on its use.

Further, if someone takes blood, they will not go to "hell" due to the simple fact there is no hell, as all Jehovah's witnesses know.

If God does not choose to resurrect you, no matter what you do, the worse that can happen is that you just simply die, and are forgotten.

I guess I stand corrected - but my main point is still valid - no religious group should try to encourage laws that they themselves believe are morally correct when others might not agree.

Most pro-lifers like myself have issues with the age children are aborted and the circumstances and reasons they chose that path.

I've never minded an abortion to save the mothers life.

I've never minded an abortion for a child that is clinically brain dead or seriously deformed and probably wont live long outside the womb.

I have a huge problem with mothers whom abort every year. Use birth control instead dummy.

I have a huge problem with late term abortions simply because they decided they didn't want the hassle of a child. Have you seen videos of these abortion procedures for those babies 6-9 months?

I'm more curious how you would get an organ transplant without being given blood also....
